Welcome, welcome, welcome to all… From the ashes of The Road to Formula One comes Diary of a Mercedes Fan!
In 2013, I embarked on an ambitious project called The Road to Formula One, a new Formula One blog/website which would cover the sport from an alternative point of view.
Alongside that I had planned to do a video diary series called Diary of a Mercedes Fan (the sister show to Diary of a Liverpool Fan which I did on Soundcloud.) I managed to produce three episodes from that series but unfortunately wasn’t able to do any more.
The same applied to The Road to Formula One, after covering the 2013 season it became a lot more difficult to balance university with the time and commitment needed to undertake such a project.
After numerous attempts to relaunch that project on a consistent basis, in late 2015 I officially ended The Road to Formula One.
But alas, from The road to Formula One’s demise something good has come out of it! I am bringing back Diary of a Mercedes Fan full time, in time for the start of the 2016 Formula One world championship!
You will be hearing my dulcet tones every weekend of the Formula One season, discussing the performance of Mercedes AMG Petronas as Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg battle it out to win the 2016 Formula One world championship in what will be hopefully the all conquering the Mercedes W07!
I hope to have a few friends contribute to this series over the upcoming season and I will have more details as the season goes along, but all that’s left for me to say is…
Start those engines and made a best man win and hopefully that man is driving a Silver Arrow!
So… Formula One is back with a vengeance and Diary of a Mercedes Fan is ready to follow this season and all the action it has to offer.
So how will this all work? I hear you ask?
Well… this season will be covered extensively over Diary of a Mercedes Fan’sTwitter, YouTube and SoundCloud as well as on WordPress.
Every practice & qualifying session will be reviewed and dissected shortly after on Soundcloud. With Diary of a Mercedes Fan: Extra covering the biggest stories in Formula One.
All the action from every Grand Prix this year will be covered on Diary of a Mercedes Fan on YouTube on Monday or Tuesday.
If you are on the move, then be sure to follow our Twitter feed@ where you will never be out of the loop!
Also I will be sharing my written thoughts on WordPress throughout the year as well as looking the team as whole and the wonderful people that keep it at the top!
